  How many remember the 1969 8 day convention?

  anybody remember the 8 day 1969 international convention.

  i was at the braves stadium in atlanta all 8 days with a sunburn and then wet clothes after the rain storms.

  if you were there (not necessarily in atlanta) do you remember anything about it?

  Your View On BREASTFEEDING In Public

  last night on the news a woman was told by a store manager that she could not in public breastfeed her child.

  she and her husband were quite offended and complained to the company's main offices.

  they are now looking into this situation.. what's your opinion?

  i was wondering if there are any current regular posters here that are still active , but are mentally inactive and don't believe all the bull anymore, and are just going through the motions to keep their life with friends and family together.. i realize this might be a posting that will probably get 0 replies, but.......

  what is it about a person's believing they are "right" that leads them to being arrogant?

  you've surely noticed that the more sure a person is that he's right, the more likely he is to treat those that disagree with him with disrespect.

  it's hard to see how a person can disagree with something that you know is right.

  It was in L.A. at "Dodger Statium".......IT was "The Divine Enderance" convention......that was the name of "ALL" of the conventions that the JWs ever had.

  I was 20 years old.

  P.S. The very first drama was in 1967..........." The Ciy of Refuge" drama......that was at "The Divine Enderance" convention too.

  i simply gradually quit going.

  of course, this was many years ago and maybe the "rules" have changed, but rather than create drama among my family, i just let them think i was becoming materialistic and spiritually weak.

  at least it kept them talking and associating with me rather than cutting me off.

  For me..........I made a public decoration of becoming a JW.......So since it was a public display going in........... I choose to make it a public display going out.............

  I have no problem with faders.

  Each person must decide what is best for them.

  Wait a minute here..........Are we not talking about love? First rule of Love "There are no rules"! You can love anyone at anytime, time means nothing.

  You can be in Love for 30 years.....30 months...... 30 days and yes even 30 minutes.......The Heart should always rule...........

  No......you say.

  Your on the Titanic the ship is sinking you have just meet the Love of your life.......one or both of you will be dead in a few hours...............Sorry we can't make Love because you don't have a condom and it would be a "one night stand?"........that may well be the best few minutes of your life.

  Love is Love.......no rules please.

  Yes, I have had one night stands...........and I was in love......I wasn't on the Titanic.

  I just registered as a blood donor!
